The Pokemon Company International announced Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet – White Flare, a new split expansion for Pokemon TCG, which will hit stores on July 18, 2025.
The new expansions offer trainers access to 156 Pokemon originally discovered in the Unova region. Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt will showcase the Legendary Pokemon Zekrom; Scarlet & Violet – White Flare will feature the Legendary Pokemon Reshiram. Each of these expansions will also have three different parallel foil sets, two of which will have either a rainbow Poke Ball or Master Ball card treatment.
The sets will each have 6 Pokemon ex, 8 ultra rare Pokemon and Supporter cards, an illustration rare or special illustration rare card for each Unova Pokemon in the set, and a special illustration rare Supporter card. The product SKUs for these sets will be as follows:
- Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt or Scarlet & Violet – White Flare Elite Trainer Box. The ETBs come with 9 booster packs; an illustration rare style promo card featuring Thundurus or Tornadus, respectively, and gameplay accessories.
- Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt or Scarlet & Violet – White Flare Elite Binder Collection. The collection contains 5 booster packs and a nine-pocket album featuring Zekrom or Reshiram.
- Unova Poster Collection. It includes 2 Black Bolt booster packs, 2 White Flare booster packs, three promo cards featuring Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott, and a full-size, two-sided poster.
- Unova Mini Tin. The mini tin comes with a Black Bolt booster pack, a White Flare booster pack, an art card, and a sticker card matching the tin’s art.
- Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt or Scarlet & Violet – White Flare Tech Sticker Collection (releases August 1, 2025): It comes with 3 booster packs, an illustration rare style promo card featuring Reuniclus or Gothitelle, and a sticker sheet for personalizing laptops, tablets, and other tech devices.
- Unova Victini Illustration Collection (releases August 1, 2025): The collection comes with 2 Black Bolt booster packs, 2 White Flare booster packs, an illustration rare style promo card featuring Victini, a premium parallel Poke Ball card featuring Victini, and an oversize illustration rare style foil promo card featuring Victini.
- Scarlet & Violet – Black Bolt or Scarlet & Violet – White Flare Booster Bundle (releases August 22, 2025): These bundles come with 6 boosters.
