Bushiroad has announced plans to produce an expansion for the Weiss Schwarz trading card game inspired by Shift Up’s third-person shooter video game Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The new booster set will release in July.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke imagines a post-apocalyptic future in which the world has been overrun by mechanical aliens called Raptures. The surviving humans have been forced to retreat into underground bunkers controlled by the massive corporations that now act as the government, constructing artificial soldiers called Nikkes that alone can fight back against the invaders.
The new booster pack expansion for Weiss Schwarz will include a total of 115 types of cards (with 173 parallel types) featuring characters and artwork from the game as well as new art from the game artists. The cards will be available in 8-card boosters packed 12 per display. Each display will come with one of 16 possible “Going First/Going Second” cards, and each 24-display carton will have an exclusive stitched playmat. 38 different types of hot-stamped signature cards will be randomly inserted in some boosters. MSRP is $4.50 per booster.
A Goddess of Victory: Nikke Trial Deck will release at the same time. A special 10-card promo pack will also be available in limited numbers for those who purchase three booster display boxes.
July will also see the launch of Bushiroad’s Godzilla CG (see “Bushiroad Updates ‘Godzilla CG’ Deets”), followed in August by a pair of Cardfight!! Vanguard expansions (see “Bushiroad’s ‘Shadowverse: Evolve’ Crosses Over with ‘Cardfight!! Vanguard’” and “‘Super Brave Detonation’ Incoming”).
