In Part 1 of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua, Liko, Roy, and Dot are on a quest to become stronger Pokémon Trainers. They begin by enrolling at Naranja Academy to learn more about Terastallization. All of this is part of a broader effort to uncover the mysteries of the legendary Pokémon Trainer Lucius and find the land known as Laqua. With Part 2 of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua arriving on Netflix on April 25, 2025, it’s time to brush up on the events of Part 1 with a quiz. Just be sure you’ve already watched Part 1, because the quiz contains spoilers.

But it just so happens that an art festival is happening, and Liko, Roy, and Dot decide to take part in the fun while they wait for Roy’s showdown with Brassius.Liko uses footprints from her Pokémon to make a painting, and Dot constructs an electric Ferris wheel.   1. In Episode 4, “Dot and Nidothing,” Dot is nervous about her Tera Training test with Iono in Levincia. Iono offers to let Dot take her Tera Training test while dressed as Nidothing, which Dot seriously considers, but Quaxly seems opposed.   1. In Episode 5, “Trending Terastallization! Dance, Dance, Quaxly!”, it’s finally time for Dot’s battle against Iono. Concerned that Quaxly, a Water type, has a type disadvantage against Iono’s Electric-type Bellibolt, Dot tries to develop a winning strategy. Despite Dot and Quaxly’s determination, Bellibolt’s Electromorphosis Ability catches them off guard, and Dot struggles to figure out a solution. But after watching Quaxly happily playing in a puddle mid-battle, Dot focuses enough to have Quaxly Terastallize. Dot and Quaxly ultimately lose the battle, but because they had fun, worked together, and Quaxly successfully Terastallized, Iono declares that Dot passed her test.What new attack does Quaxly learn while Terastallized?
  1. In Episode 6, “The Flower Tower,” Liko, Roy, and Dot have all passed their Tera Training basic aptitude tests and decide to go camping to observe wild Pokémon for school reports. Floragato becomes jealous of the amount of time and energy Liko devotes to Hatenna and Terapagos. After Terapagos wanders away, Liko and her Pokémon become separated, and Liko falls down a ravine. Despite being annoyed at Liko, Floragato works to save her from the ravine with a little help from some wild Pokémon. In the process, Liko and her Pokémon have the opportunity to observe a rare phenomenon known as a “flower tower.”What wild Pokémon help Liko climb out of the ravine?
  1. In Episode 7, “Wattrel’s High Wind Warning!”, Roy observes a wild Capsakid for his report for Naranja Academy. He notices that Wattrel is having trouble flying in strong wind, and later, he wakes up in the middle of the night to discover the Pokémon struggling to fly up into a tree. They then meet a mysterious woman and her Pokémon. The next day, Wattrel is frustrated because Fuecoco can easily obtain berries, and the pair fight, which results in Roy chastising Wattrel. When Wattrel wanders away, Roy goes looking for his Pokémon, only to discover the wild Capsakid trapped on a cliff. Roy attempts to rescue Capsakid but becomes stuck himself. Wattrel comes to Roy’s rescue, evolving into Kilowattrel.What Pokémon with a mysterious Trainer do Roy, Fuecoco, and Wattrel encounter while Wattrel practices its flying skills at night?
  1. In Episode 8, “Hatenna and the Otherworldly,” Liko, Roy, and Dot wander through the forest looking for a Pokémon known as “the Otherworldly.” They come across three other students from Naranja Academy who had a terrifying encounter with a Pokémon. Liko, Roy, and Dot press forward, eventually encountering an enraged Annihilape—and they realize it must be the Otherworldly. After running from Annihilape, they encounter a group of furious Mankey who are upset because the students from earlier broke a vine that allowed them to access food on the other side of a river. Liko, Roy, and Dot build a bridge for the Mankey, Primeape, and Annihilape, but the wild Pokémon still end up fighting, and two of the Primeape evolve into Annihilape. Hatenna tries to stop the Annihilape from fighting, evolving into Hattrem in the process. Pleased with their experiences observing wild Pokémon, the trio decides to return to Naranja Academy.After defeating the Annihilape, Hattrem does something surprising. What is it?
  1. In Episode 9, “The Treasure of Eternity,” Friede continues his research into Lucius by reading Diana’s journals. As part of his efforts, he pays a visit to a company where he used to work as a Pokémon researcher, hoping to find answers about something called the “Treasure of Eternity.” The company director, Cervantis, gives Friede his old security pass, and Friede pays a visit to the research laboratory. He eventually discovers an empty case that was supposed to contain the mysterious item. Friede and Captain Pikachu are confronted by security guards and escape. Meanwhile, at the Explorers’ headquarters, Amethio meets with Gibeon, his grandfather, who gives him an important task.What is the true name of the Treasure of Eternity?
  1. In Episode 10, “Showdown! The Paldea Elite Four,” Liko, Roy, and Dot are back at Naranja Academy, where their Tera Training continues. Each student is paired with the Gym Leader they previously battled in a matchup against the Paldea Elite Four. Dot and Iono are up first against Poppy and her powerful, fully evolved Pokémon. Iono and Bellibolt do their best to protect Quaxly, who Terastallizes. This provides sufficient distraction for Bellibolt to land a close-range Zap Cannon, which knocks out one of Poppy’s Pokémon, granting the win to Iono and Dot. Next up is Roy and Brassius against Hassel and his Dragon-type Pokémon, Baxcalibur and Flapple. Roy is frustrated to discover that Baxcalibur has the Thermal Exchange Ability, which makes Baxcalibur stronger when it’s hit by a Fire-type attack. After a fierce battle, Roy and Brassius ultimately lose, but Roy is happy because he enjoyed the battle and learned from the process.Which two Pokémon does Poppy use in her battle against Dot and Iono?
  1. In Episode 11, “Liko vs. Rika! Toward the Battle’s End,” Liko and Katy square off against Rika. Before the battle begins, Rika senses Liko’s nervousness and tries to reassure her. As Rika’s Clodsire repeatedly uses Sludge Wave and Dugtrio continues to use Dig, Floragato and Katy’s Lokix struggle to find their footing, but Lokix protects Floragato from Poison-type attacks. After Lokix is unable to battle, Liko and Floragato fight fiercely, with Floragato learning a new attack and ultimately Terastallizing. In response, Rika Terastallizes Clodsire, which unleashes an intense Earth Power attack that renders Floragato unable to battle. Rika is declared the winner. Meanwhile, Dot finds an interesting book in the Naranja Academy library while chasing after Terapagos. Dot, Liko, and Roy think the book may hold a key to unlocking the mystery of Lucius and Laqua.What attack does Floragato learn in the middle of the battle against Rika?
