Detroit: Become Human – Tokyo Stories Vol. 1 is a boring and bland debut

2038, Tokyo. Artificially intelligent robots known as androids are now being mass produced. With superior looks and brainpower, they’ve steadily replaced humans in all kinds of roles, causing a widespread anti-android sentiment in North America. However, the same cannot be said for Japan–after all, they’ve seen the rise of the world’s first android idol, Reina, who broke new ground for the future of cybernetic beings. But when android “deviants” begin to appear, rejecting their programmed duties for free will and genuine emotions…what paths will they choose, and is humanity still part of that future?!

Story: Quantic Dream, Kazami Sawatari
Art: Moto Sumida
Translator: John Neal
Letterer: Jamil Stewart
