Poké Balls abound…but where are all the Pokémon?
April Fool’s Day comes but once a year, and Pokémon GO is making the most of it with the What’s That Poké Ball? event on April 1, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time. During the event, Poké Balls will clutter the map, causing chaos and confusion. Help clean up the mess, and discover what surprises await!
It may be April Fool’s, but these featured Pokémon are no joke.

- Hisuian Voltorb
- Electrode
- Hisuian Electrode
- Foongus
- Amoonguss
- Galarian Stunfisk
Lastly, a special Spotlight Hour will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. During this time, Pokémon in the wild will appear as Poké Balls. Trainers can tap the Poké Balls to reveal a Pokémon or get a Poké Ball, Great Ball, or Ultra Ball.
