In another step in the consolidation of distribution of smaller comic publishers’ titles in the wake of the Diamond Comic Distributors bankruptcy filing, Alien Books will be distributed by IDW Publishing under a new agreement, the companies announced. IDW is distributed to both comic stores and the book channel by Penguin Random House.
Alien Books has not released its titles originally scheduled for release in February 2025 and beyond, presumably as a result of the interruption of cash flow from Diamond. Release plans for upcoming releases have not yet been announced.
Alien Books is publishing titles set in the Valiant Universe, and was interrupted in its relaunch under its Valiant Beyond initiative, which flowed out of the Valiant Resurgence storyline (see “’Resurgence of the Valiant Universe”).
