Bandai has announced a pair of new booster set expansions for its anime anthology trading card game Union Arena that will release on October 31: Kaiju No. 8 and Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files.
Based on the manga and anime series, Kaiju No. 8 features characters Kafka Hibino, Mina Ashiro and the kaiju-fighting Defense Force as well as kaiju monsters from the series themselves, giving players an opportunity to recreate the battles between the Defense Force and the kaiju.
The Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files set brings Yusuke Urameshi, Hiei, Kurama, Toguro, and other characters from the supernatural manga and anime series into the Union Arena game, featuring the demon-hunting efforts of the Underworld Detective.
Both sets will feature exclusive artwork created for Bandai, including alt-art versions of some cards. They will be sold separately in 12-card booster packs with an MSRP of $4.99, packaged in 16-pack display boxes.
The new sets follow the release of the Rurouni Kenshin booster set (see “Bandai Will Release ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ Booster Set”) and the Attack on Titan set (see “‘Attack on Titan’ Crashes Down Upon ‘Union Arena Card Game’”). This summer, Bandai will launch the hybrid TCG-miniatures game Gundam Card Game: Gundam Assemble (see “‘Gundam Card Game’ and ‘Gundam Assemble’ Combine Forces”).
