Steamforged Games announced Helldivers 2 Board Game, which will head to crowdfunding.
This game is the official tabletop adaptation of Helldivers 2, a popular sci-fi shooter series by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The board game sends players into an intergalactic struggle to protect Super Earth against alien threats. Players will man squads armed with pistols, machine guns, and flamethrowers and be tasked with completing high-risk missions, navigating battlefields, and overcoming enemy swarms.
“Helldivers 2 is a perfect fit for the tabletop, and as big fans of the game, we consider it a huge privilege to be making it happen,” said Mat Hart, co-founder and CCO of SFG. “Players can expect heroic last stands, spectacularly avoidable friendly-fire, and the kind of cinematic action that turns every gaming session into a glorious war story. For liberty!”
The crowdfunding campaign will launch on Gamefound on April 8, 2025.
Steamforged has also announced two new sets for the Epic Encounters line featuring a demon prince and dark dwarves (see “Summon Demon Prince, Duergar Cult“).
