The Pokemon Company International announced the Mega Evolutions series of expansions for Pokemon TCG, which will head to market in 2025.
The new series of expansions marks a new era for Pokemon beyond the top-selling Scarlet & Violet series of expansions (see “TCGplayer Top 25 Sealed Products Chart“). Mega Evolutions Pokemon, which are Pokemon that transcend their limits to become even more powerful, were last in XY Series and the Sun & Moon series (see “‘Pokemon: Sun & Moon’“). The new series will feature Mega Evolutions Pokemon ex, such as Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex, which will have more HP and attack damage compared to regular Pokemon ex, but they give up three Prize cards when Knocked Out. More details on this series will be revealed closer to launch.
