For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is honored to display the extraordinary art of the gifted Fell (fell_stt). He has participated in various Pokémon-related projects, including the fourth and fifth generations of Pokédex Ilustrada, organized by Ilustradoras Unidas.
Fell considers art to be another way of speaking and a universal language.
“In my life, it means too much: it’s my way of releasing stress, expressing myself, and creating. Art means so much to me that I’m currently studying it to dedicate my life to it. As difficult as it may seem, art is life for me.”
Pokémon has always been a big part of Fell’s childhood and remains something that brings him happiness. It also represents a significant part of his free time, thanks to the TCG cards.
“I think it’s incredible what the franchise has achieved over the years,” he shared. “The Pokémon Anime Series is very nostalgic, the games are still good, and the TCG has introduced me to a very diverse and entertaining community. It’s amazing to see how your favorite Pokémon can appear in a meta card, as in the case of Ogerpon, which is very meta with the Teal Mask Ogerpon ex card.”
Fell has had a lot of fun creating Pokémon-related art.
“When I was a kid, I used to draw some, but never in a more refined way like I do now. Mixing my passion for art with the enthusiasm and love I have for Pokémon is a great experience. One of my dreams is to illustrate an official card. No matter how hard it is, I want to keep doing this for a long time,” he revealed.
Fell has three favorite Pokémon: Hoopa, Articuno, and, as mentioned above, Ogerpon, but Hoopa holds a very special place in his heart.
“When the 6th Generation came out and the leaks of the mythical Pokémon started, I immediately knew I wanted Hoopa. I really like his confined form. I like the combination of tenderness with an evil genie. I believe the purple, gray, and gold palette gives him a certain elegance that seeks to imitate pots. I really like the concept of a confined and unleashed genie. His participation in the remake of the third generation and the movie, as the culprit for the appearances of the legendary Pokémon, reaffirmed my liking for him. If you knew how difficult it was to find his stuffed animal,” he concluded.
