On the 50th anniversary of Giant-Size X-Men #1, which kicked off a new era for the mutant team, Marvel will launch a series of five one-shots that will shed new lights on incidents in the team’s past. Helmed by writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, the five-issue event starts with a villain dragging Kamala Khan into the distant past, where she observes the emergence of the Uncanny X-Men and the first Krakoa encounter from a different perspective, one that reveals new information about the past. When history itself begins to change, the question will be whether Kamala Khan and the X-Men can survive. In addition to the main story, each issue will include a Revelations backup story by other X-Men creators that will reveal new incidents that may change the future.
Marvel’s Free Comic Book Day 2025: Fantastic Four/Giant-Size X-Men #1, set for release on May 3, will include a prelude to the event. The first full issue will be Giant-Size X-Men #1, by Kelly, Lanzing, and artist Adam Kubert, with a backup story by Al Ewing and Sara Pichelli and a main cover by Kubert. The issue will go on sale on May 28, 2025.
Subsequent issues will be Giant-Size Dark Phoenix Saga #1 and Giant-Size Age of Apocalypse #1, both scheduled for June 2025, and Giant-Size House of M #1 and Giant-Size X-Men #2, both set for July 2025 release.
