NFL Legend Tom Brady Invests in a ‘Magic,’ ‘Pokemon,’ and Sports Card Retailer

Tom Brady has acquired 50% of CardVault. Additionally, CardVault also announced that they will change the name to “CardVault by Tom Brady.”

The man that many consider the Greatest of All-Time to play the quarterback position in the NFL has dipped his toes into the collectible card world with this acquisition. CardVault is a premier retailer in the sports and hobby collectibles market with an extensive digital reach as well as three physical locations in the New England region. Brady plans to take the helm of this company and leverage his fame and fortune to attract new collectors and investors to the brand.

“Sports collectibles and cards have been part of my DNA since childhood, and CardVault has set the gold standard for what a modern fan experience should be,” said Brady. “This isn’t just about buying and selling cards; it’s about curating history, building community, turning fans into collectors, and giving them access to own great moments in sports.”

Brady also plans to expand the business quickly and open up a new CardVault flagship location next to MetLife Stadium. Aside from its massive sports card inventory, CardVault also sells sealed TCG products including Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Disney Lorcana, and more. The expansion of this retail business could bring in more crossover fans from the sports card world into TCGs.

To celebrate his new ownership role, Brady signed one of his rare Topps Chrome Montreal Expos baseball rookie cards with a special inscription:

“If broadcasting doesn’t work out, there’s always CardVault.”
