Best sex board games for 2025

What are the best sex board games? Tabletop games about sex are far more than just a joke gift; the really good ones can rock your world. This guide features my top sex board games, each carefully selected based on my (and the Wargamer team’s) personal experiences. Rest assured, I’m not just teasing you when I say these are the hottest games to try.

As a sexologist and world-renowned sex and relationships expert, I’ve helped many couples spice up their love lives by recommending the best board games, dice, and cards for sexual situations. If you’d rather connect with your partner over the tabletop than the mattress-top, do check out our other guide to the best board games for couples.

Why you can trust us ✔ We spend hours testing games, toys, and services. Our advice is honest and unbiased to help you buy the best. Find out how we test.

Monogamy

Monogamy

The most popular sex board game.

Today’s best deals
Monogamy specifications:

Players 2
Play time 1 hour
Reasons to buy

  • Extensive foreplay tasks and questions
  • Good for long sessions
  • Easy instructions
Reasons to avoid

  • A bit dated
  • Heterosexual focus
  • Maybe a little tame

I first encountered Monogamy: the board game over ten years ago. Since then, many other sex board games have come and gone, yet this one has survived the test of time and is still being sold. It’s designed for two players and is aimed at heterosexual couples, but most of the cards and tasks can be adapted for any sexual orientation.

Produced by specialist sex and relationships game publisher Creative Conceptions, Monogamy is one of the longer sex board games out there. The aim of the game is to try new forms of foreplay while also learning to communicate intimacy with your partner.

As you go around the board, you’ll land on various spaces that indicate different actions. Some may suggest giving your partner a massage, while others may allocate a time for you to perform a strip tease. The further you get into the game, the hotter it becomes, with each turn round the board making the erotic suggestions steamier.

It’s a pleasurable play, however it can require some extra props, such as tie and tease items and (naturally) food. Take my advice: grab some whipped cream before you play and put the cheese puffs down!

Kinky Confessions card game

Kinky Confessions card game

The best intimacy building game.

Today’s best deals
Kinky Confessions card game specifications:

Players 2+
Play time 30-45 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Multiple ways to play
  • Great for communication
  • Helps reduce sexual boredom
Reasons to avoid

  • Some cards won’t suit everyone

When it comes to kink, knowing where to start with a partner can feel like unknown territory. The Lovehoney Oh! Confessions card game is designed to help with this.

This easy card game has you and a partner take turns asking a selection of ‘either/or’ questions. If you decide you can’t answer a question, you can select to perform a forfeit suggested on the forfeit card (or create one between yourselves).

It’s designed to be played in pairs, but it could work just as well for a polycule of up to five individuals. Each person draws up to 10 cards, and you take turns to asking the questions and answering them.

The game is fairly quick, but in my experience it’s really playful and lively. It allowed me to gain a better understanding of my partner’s erotic likes and dislikes, and we got a kick out of exploring shared sex memories from our past, while exploring topics that appeared on the cards. The deck is great for working out power dynamics and boundaries in your relationship, whilst keeping things sexy and casual.

Lovehoney Foreplay Sex Dice

Lovehoney Foreplay Sex Dice

The best sex board game for a quickie.

Today’s best deals
Lovehoney Foreplay Sex Dice specifications:

Players 2+
Play time 20 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Easy to follow
  • Quick to play
  • Playful and easy-going
Reasons to avoid

  • Can feel basic

Let’s get real; when life gets busy, foreplay gets forgotten – but it needn’t be! The Oh! Foreplay Sex Dice are aimed at helping you explore foreplay more.

Rolling the purple action die, together with either the light pink romantic die or the dark pink erotic die, helps you come up with a wide range of ways to explore foreplay with a partner. Take it in turns to roll two of the dice, and perform the combination of tasks on your lover.

I found the combinations fun to explore. The dice roll and settle nicely on uneven surfaces, meaning they can be used on bedding. Some of the combinations require a little creative thinking – like “suck” + “stomach” – and for others we ended up using our own interpretations. “Blow” + “penis” was a particularly memorable combo.

The “?” side of the dice let our imaginations kick in more, allowing us to ‘choose our own adventure’ a little bit. These dice are good fun and can be used progressively – starting off with the romantic dice and then moving up to the erotic dice – which is a great option if you’re new to learning what you and your partner like in the bedroom.

The biggest downsides are only that the purple die can be hard to read, and some of the actions are quite similar to one another.

Sex tokens

Sex tokens

Leave it to chance

Today’s best deals
Sex tokens specifications:

Players 2+
Play time Depends on what you draw!
Reasons to buy

  • Easy to use
  • No nonsense, straight to the action!
Reasons to avoid

  • Very heterosexual focused
  • The next token could be red hot, or just a little saucy

There are a lot of sex token sets out there, bags of wooden coins that are each engraved with a sexy instruction. The simplest way to use them is just to pull a coin from the bag and do what it says – perfect if you’re already keen, but want to let lady luck mix up your plans and keep things interesting.

Unlike the sex dice above, sex tokens don’t have a way to gradually turn up the heat. You can remove any tokens you don’t like from the bag, but once they’re all shaken up, who knows if the token you draw next will tell you to kiss, canoodle, or get stuck into something hot and heavy? But unlike sex dice, you’ll never get those silly results like “lick armpit”!

You can also treat these more like favor tokens. If you struggle to make time for sex but still enjoy it, start each week by each drawing or choosing some tokens, and then make it your mission to cash them in by the end of the week. Just make sure that the tokens aren’t putting pressure on anyone to perform – they should be an excuse and a reminder to do things you already want to do, not a chore you have to tick off!

The Big Oh!

The Big Oh!

The best foreplay board game.

Today’s best deals
The Big Oh! specifications:

Players 2
Play time 1 hour
Reasons to buy

  • Lots of activities
  • Tasks for post-game play
  • Sexy blindfold and tickler included
Reasons to avoid

  • Some later tasks can be confusing

A proper board game, The Big Oh! sees you spiral down a pathway of exciting foreplay and intimacy-building activities. Three successive levels of intensity allow you to build up arousal and desire over time, using cleverly paced game design to get you and your partner progressively more hot and bothered during an hour of play.

As you land on the different squares, you’ll either take a card with sexy questions or tasks related to your current level or explore each other’s bodies with the sex dice, blindfold, or tickler. Level one allows for light foreplay and sensual massages; level two has soft genital stimulation and mild kink; and level three is more focused on mutual masturbation and oral sex. There are also bonus cards for use after the game ends.

I liked how this game slowed me and my partner down and allowed us to revisit ways of pleasuring each other we had forgotten. It proved that things between us had got hotter, and we were able to add our own flare to the milder actions, reigniting playfulness. We still need to find where we put some of the bonus card packs, as one pack was lost in all the excitement.

Oral Fun

Oral Fun

The best oral sex board game.

Today’s best deals
Oral Fun specifications:

Players 2
Play time 45 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Quick play, considering the tasks
  • Gives new ways to explore oral
Reasons to avoid

  • Requires external props
  • Encourages drinking

Oral sex is rising in popularity, particularly as we’re starting to see more people of different genders and sexualities enjoying it in movies and TV. Yet, even with oral sex becoming more normalized, there’s still very little advice out there on how to mix it up. This is where the Oral Fun board game can help!

The game involves rolling a dice to move along a board of oral delights. You race to the finish line, which is on square 69 (incorporate that into your gameplay however you want).

Each square offers a new idea on how to explore oral sex, from kissing an area of your partner, to introducing food, to adding in tie-and-tease play as you go down on each other. There’s also a set of trivia cards included, giving an extra opportunity to get to know your partner’s erotic tastes further.

The game requires you to have some items on hand, such as a blindfold, food, and ice cubes. The biggest downfall of the game is that it’s evidently aimed at heterosexual couples – but this could be adapted easily for anyone to take part and play.

Talk Dirty Playing Cards

Talk Dirty Playing Cards

The best couples communication game.

Today’s best deals
Talk Dirty Playing Cards specifications:

Players 2+
Play time 25 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Helps communication skills
  • Confidence building
  • Offers kinky inspiration
Reasons to avoid

  • Not fun if you’re too shy

Sex is all about exciting all of our senses. That means experiencing delight through touch, taste, smell, visuals, and – of course – sound. Yet freely communicating and making sounds during sex can be the hardest skill to develop with a partner.

Even if you’ve had years of keeping hush in the bedroom, the Talk Dirty Playing Cards can help you become vocal – whether that’s helping you talk about your sexual likes and dislikes, or giving yourself permission to let go and groan. The card game comes with additional tips on how to talk dirty.

The deck is based on traditional playing cards, allowing you a few options to play. The first has the goal of collecting a set of four of the same-number cards. Once a player has a set, you can act out the dirty talk questions. The second way to play is similar to Blackjack rules, which allows for a longer game.

The game is light and entertaining to play, and I enjoyed the varied interactions it encouraged between me and my partner. We even saved a few cards to use later in the week to continue the fun!

Sexopoly

Sexopoly

The best sex party board game.

Today’s best deals
Sexopoly specifications:

Players 2-8
Play time 2 hours
Reasons to buy

  • The ultimate sexy icebreaker
  • Super casual choice for sex parties
Reasons to avoid

  • Not inherently super erotic
  • Doesn’t enhance your sex life per se

Everyone’s heard of the classic board game Monopoly. This X-rated version, Sexopoly, shares many of the same gameplay elements, but it swaps the theme from property development to adult entertainment, creating a light-hearted sex board game that’s more about sharing and having fun than directly instigating sex.

Sexopoly is designed to be played with up to eight players, with the aim of the game being to build the most successful adult empire. As you work your way around the Monopoly-style board, you’ll buy up adult entertainment businesses with ‘Bank of Sexopoly’ dollar notes and start raking in the cash from your XXX empire.

This adult game is different from other sex board games, as it’s not intended to enhance your sex life. Rather, it gives you a chance to share your sex knowledge, learn some fun sex education facts, and get competitive with close friends or partners at an adult party.

There’s even a ‘Jail’ space equivalent, which the designers aptly renamed the dungeon. There are a few slightly erotic task squares, but these are focused on receiving an optional free massage or giving a lap dance. This is one to play with a sex-positive group of friends or party guests rather than in a dedicated sex session with a partner.

Sex Marks The Spot

Sex Marks The Spot

The best game for realizing your sex fantasy.

Today’s best deals
Sex Marks The Spot specifications:

Players 2
Play time 1 hour+
Reasons to buy

  • Bouncy, spontaneous gameplay
  • Really satisfying to win
Reasons to avoid

  • Relies a lot on chance
  • Could be quick – or take hours

At a glance, this grid-style game looks similar to classics like Chess or Battleships. You will indeed be moving your piece across the board, but victory in Sex Marks the Spot looks a little different. At the start of the game, each player secretly writes down their ultimate fantasy on a piece of paper, and that becomes their ultimate prize if they win.

Each turn, you’ll roll two numbered dice – one red, one blue – to determine a random space on the grid to move to. Each square has a different action for you and your partner to explore, with some linking to specific cards that take you, er, deeper.

The cards can vary from erotic suggestions to intimate questions. With up to 180 different challenges to try, the game can continue for hours if you desire.

Each time you land on the X square, you make a mark on your secret sheet – and, once you’ve collected six, you unlock your final fantasy. This element of randomness works fantastically. Anticipation builds as players race to get six Xs, but all the while you’ll be exploring the game’s other sexy tasks, getting more and more in the mood.

There’s a welcome element of customization here, too – there are ‘Sex it up’ cards to add in if you want to make things steamier, or you can use a ‘Sexcuse me’ card if there’s a challenge you’d prefer to skip.

Sex!!!

Sex!!!

The best LGBTQ+ sex board game.

Today’s best deals
Sex!!! specifications:

Players 2+
Play time 1 hour
Reasons to buy

  • Great for multiple players
  • Inclusive of different relationships and sexualities
Reasons to avoid

  • Endgame sex positions won’t suit everyone
  • Spinner can get stuck

A real treasure, Sex!!! is one of the very few successful sex board games that’s specifically intended for groups looking to up their foreplay. Couples, throuples, or polycules – everyone can get involved in this one.

Each square is a different color with a different action. You spin the wheel to work out which color to move to and then perform the action with your lovers. The actions range from massage or removing a piece of clothing, to kissing and dirty talk, to fingering and oral – with the aim always to keep building up more and more foreplay among the group.

At the end of the game, the winner can spin the wheel again, which will land on a suggested sex position. If you’re playing with more than one partner, you can either all stop then and there and enjoy sex together, or you can go off in pairs, leaving the other pair to continue until one of them finishes the game.

In Sex!!!, everyone’s a winner, and – refreshingly – most of the actions are universal and can be played by various sexualities. That’s a real selling point in a field containing many, many overly heteronormative products.

Couplicious

Couplicious

The best ice-breaker for threesomes, foursomes, and moresomes

Today’s best deals
Couplicious specifications:

Players 3+
Play-time 30 minutes – if you make it to the end
Reasons to buy

  • Starts cheeky, ends red hot
  • Fantastic ice-breaker for a saucy party
Reasons to avoid

  • Not every question and challenge card is a winner
  • Only suited to group play
  • Targeted at straight couples

If you’re in the swinging lifestyle – or keen to join in! – you know how important it is to help everyone get over their nerves at the start of a party, and ease into the fun. Couplicious is aimed right at you.

There are two zones on the board, the ‘mild’ and then the ‘wild’ side, with escalating challenges, forfeits, questions, and dares. Make no mistake, this is a lot more explicit than what you’ll find in the other games on this list – just moving around the board will hit spots that call for players to strip naked, or drink shots off one another’s bodies, and the ‘wild’ cards include fondling and oral sex.

If you’re hosting with this, make sure you check the cards through before the game night, as you might find some a bit embarassing or peurile, or you might want to order them a bit so that the most full-on cards don’t come out too early. The rulebook emphasises that everyone should feel comfortable to opt out of anything they don’t fancy doing: the point of this kind of game is to give everyone an excuse to do things they already want to do, but might feel a bit too shy about.

Weekend in Bed bondage game

Weekend in Bed bondage game

The best beginner BDSM game.

Today’s best deals
Weekend in Bed bondage game specifications:

Players 2
Play time 45 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Includes all the gear you need
  • Perfect introduction to kink
Reasons to avoid

  • A little tame for the experienced
  • Very heterosexual focused

It’s fair to say more value went into the equipment than the game here, but the Weekend in Bed Bondage kit still has some excellent play in it. Plus, it certainly makes traveling away for the weekend more adventurous!

Perfect for those looking to try out BDSM for the first time, the kit contains eight items that all fit into a satin travel bag – a blindfold, massage candle, spanking paddle, and flogger. All of these are designed to be used with the sex dice and packs of erotic sex cards that make up the game.

There are two card packs: one giving kinky scenes for you to act out in the form of roleplay, and the other offering sexy activity ideas. You use the dice to pick who’ll play what role, and who performs the action on the card. It’s worth noting the dice ‘his’ or ‘her’ on each side, meaning this game is intended for heterosexual couples.

The tabletop gameplay may be a bit basic, but this kit is a great investment for those looking to explore their power dynamics in the bedroom while learning different ways to mix up sensual and consensual sadomasochism. It’s an affordable little package, with some amazing suggestions for enhancing your sex life.

Fondle

Fondle

Sexy Twister

Today’s best deals
Fondle specifications:

Players 2-4
Play time 15-30
Reasons to buy

  • Hands-on fun.
  • So much better than Twister.
Reasons to avoid

  • More fun with groups.
  • Who’s going to spin the spinner?
  • The young and sprightly will enjoy this the most.

Fondle is like an adult version of Twister that isn’t shy about why you’re playing it. This is a game about touching, groping, and stroking all the other players, because oh no the spinner said you have to!

Just like Twister, someone on the sidelines will spin a big spinner to determine what the other players do with their hands and feet. Sometimes you’ll have to stretch your hands and feet out to the other side of the mat, but just as often you’ll have to put your hands onto another player!

The spinner even has a ‘fondle’ wildcard result, which gives the current player a forfeit. Taking a drink or stripping off an item of clothing are classics!

This doesn’t fix all the problems with adult Twister, of course. Everyone has to be happy being groped by all the other players, and the spinner could throw up boring results several times in a row. This also isn’t a great game if you’re getting back pain! But if you were thinking of bringing Twister to a sexy party, bring Fondle instead.

Truth or Dare for couples

Truth or Dare for couples

The funniest sex board game.

Today’s best deals
Truth or Dare for couples specifications:

Players 2
Play time 20 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Produces light, fun, sexy chats
  • Cheap and portable
Reasons to avoid

  • More humorous than erotic

No longer is this merely a game for teens experiencing their first romantic tension: Truth or Dare for couples adapts the party classic into a mildly steamy and consistently fun conversation game for two.

Or – if the Amazon reviews are anything to go by – perhaps not so much sauce after all. Many couples praised Truth or Dare for Couples for having interesting ‘truths’ and funny ‘dares’, but there’s a distinct lack of sex-appeal going on in this game.

If you’re after a night of laughs with your love, this may be the game for you; if you were hoping for something more in the style of strip poker, you might want to carry on with the guide. Or try some of our 150+ tried and tested spicy truth or dare questions to get you started instead.

Bedroom Battle

Bedroom Battle

The most original sex board game.

Today’s best deals
Bedroom Battle specifications:

Players 2
Play time 20 minutes+
Reasons to buy

  • Strong game design
  • LGBTQ+ friendly
Reasons to avoid

  • Cartoony style may be a turn-off

Bedroom Battle could be the most board-game-like board game on this list. It doesn’t rip off a classic – this isn’t Monopoly Sex Edition – so it has its own rules, board, and pieces. Luckily for those of you who want to get down to business quickly, though, playing a game of bedroom battle is as simple as it is sexy.

The game is designed for two players. At the start of a round, players draw a reward card with three intimate actions listed. You and your opponent then take it in turns to play cards, with the goal of ending the round with the highest ‘sexiness’ rating. The winner gets to pick an action from the reward card, and the loser performs it. Simple!

Unlike some of the other games on this list, Bedroom Battle boasts about its inclusivity as well as its sex positivity. “It doesn’t matter if you’re straight, gay, or lesbian”, says the game’s box, “everyone can play”. Bedroom Battle even has expansion packs – just in case you wore out the first deck of cards.

Consentacle

Consentacle

Build a silent connection.

Today’s best deals
Consentacle specifications:

Players 2
Play time 10-40 minutes
Reasons to buy

  • Genuinely clever gameplay
  • SFW enough to bring out in public
Reasons to avoid

  • The print version is unavailable, but a print and play version is.
  • Sex-themed, but not really foreplay

Consentacle is a card game with an out-there premise: you and your partner are trying to help a human and an alien who don’t share a language get down and dirty. Sounds wacky, but it’s actually a set-up for a game that’s all about trust, consent, and silent communication. It won’t get you in the mood, but it may help you and your partner build a deeper connection.

This is quite a ‘gamey’ game. The different actions you take either build trust between both characters, or spend trust to make satisfy your character. The best way to ensure the human and the alien both get their rocks off, is to get in sync with your real-life partner. You’ll find out at the end of the game how well you did – is one of the characters satisfied, but the other unfulfilled? Was it a wash for both of them? Or did they make sparks fly?

If you get into it as a game, there are great recommendations about how you can make communicating during the game more challenging, until eventually you’re picking cards in silence, wearing shades, like two poker aces. But each gorgeously illustrated card can be the start of a conversation about your own likes and dislikes!

The Dick Sits

The Dick Sits

Break the ice at a sex party.

Today’s best deals
The Dick Sits specifications:

Players 2-8
Play time 15-30
Reasons to buy

  • Hilarious
  • Great for big groups
  • Adorable little dicks
Reasons to avoid

  • All about willies and bums
  • Sex-themed, not sex-y

If you’re in the fun position of going to sex parties, you’ll know that sometimes people need to relax before they can get frisky – but you don’t want that warm-up activity to pull the focus too far away. The Dick Sits will have everyone laughing and talking filth, ready for you to bring out one of the other games on this list and really get the fun started.

It’s a simple and very, very silly game. Each player takes on the role of a hungry butt, eager to sit on as many dicks as possible and stretch as wide as possible. There’s a whole card pack of peckers, each illustrated with a cute cartoon penis that is sure to raise a laugh – particularly if you spot any resemblances…
