All eight Overtime Elite teams will wear custom jerseys in the Pokémon Playoffs beginning in February
New York, NY. (February 3) – Overtime, the leader in content for the next generation of sports fans, has teamed up with The Pokémon Company International for a groundbreaking partnership that blends pop culture, entertainment, and sports with a one-of-a-kind jersey and lifestyle collaboration for all eight Overtime Elite teams. The league will debut the jerseys in the Pokémon Playoffs beginning on February 18th, and the lifestyle collection launches on Pokémon Day on February 27th, the annual celebration of Pokémon fandom that commemorates the launch of one of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world.
Each OTE team will receive a custom-designed jersey, and there will be a complementary lifestyle collection, offering fans a unique opportunity to represent their team in both athletic and everyday settings. The designs will feature beloved Pokémon and design elements while blending them seamlessly with the OTE teams’ unique identities, bringing together two worlds that have captivated their respective audiences.
The partnership will come to life at OTE Arena with customized LEDs, integrated marketing opportunities and Pokémon-inspired referee uniforms throughout the Pokémon Playoffs. Then, on Pokémon Day, February 27th, when the collection launches, there will be live appearances from Pikachu and Gengar.
From the court to the streets, the Overtime & Pokémon collection will allow fans to express their love for both the game and the culture in a way that is as stylish as it is meaningful. In addition to the jerseys, the lifestyle collection will feature a range of apparel including shorts, hoodies, activewear and pajamas, available exclusively online at https://shop.overtime.tv/ at 9amET on February 27th.
“We’re always looking for new ways to engage our audience and bring them closer to the teams and brands they love,” said Overtime Founder and CEO, Dan Porter. “This collaboration is the perfect example of that, bringing together two incredible fanbases for something truly special. Pokémon is a brand that’s been around for decades, and their ability to innovate while keeping their fans excited is something we admire. We’re excited to see how this collection brings Overtime and Pokémon fans together.”
“Pokémon and Overtime share a common goal of being at the forefront of pop culture, with both brands specializing in engaging content, innovative experiences, and coveted merchandise,” said Amy Sachtleben, senior director of licensing and promotions, The Pokémon Company International. “With Overtime’s expertise in reaching Gen Z audiences, we can’t think of a better partner to help us engage the next generation of fans in ways that uniquely resonate with them.”
This collaboration is a natural fit for both Pokémon and Overtime, who have continually pushed boundaries to engage their communities in new and exciting ways. Pokémon has captured the imaginations of millions across the world, transcending generations and evolving with the times. Meanwhile, Overtime has made its mark by bringing a fresh, digital-first approach to sports media and giving a platform to the next generation of athletes.
With this first-of-its-kind partnership, Overtime and Pokémon are not just creating apparel— they’re creating a new culture, one where gaming, sports, and lifestyle meet at the intersection of passion and style. Both brands share a deep commitment to creating authentic and innovative experiences for fans, and this collaboration is rooted in that shared vision. By fusing the world of basketball with the beloved universe of Pokémon, the collection is a celebration of fandom, creativity, and authenticity.
