An official Twitter post about Pokemon TCG Pocket next expansion

Pokémon TCG Pocket events

Pokemon Pocket events are limited time promotions that offer free boosters, promo cards, and cosmetic rewards for playing certain modes and completing challenges, or temporarily introduce differently themed cards and items to Wonder Picks and the in-game store.

Active Pokémon TCG Pocket events

The following Pokémon TCG Pocket events are currently active:

  • Psychic-type Pokémon mass outbreak (January 23 – 29)
  • Mythical Island SP Emblem Event (January 20 – 27)

Upcoming Pokémon TCG Pocket events

Pokémon TCG Pocket keeps its lips sealed about upcoming events until just before it’s due to launch. Because of this, we can’t yet confirm what the next Pokémon TCG Pocket event will be.

However, based on past Pokémon TCG Pocket events, we can speculate about how often certain events appear. New Wonder Pick events appear roughly every three weeks, so we’d expect to see the next one in mid-February.

Drop events are much less consistent, with some launching within two weeks of each other, while others arrive several weeks after the previous event. However, seasonal Christmas events may have skewed recent data – we’ll update this guide with more information when we have it.

Emblem Events and SP Emblem Events have appeared roughly one month after previous events in their category. The original Emblem events launched just a few days after their related release, with SP Emblem events following about a month later. Based on the fact that we’ll have a new booster to open by the end of January, we’re expecting to see the next Emblem event in early February – and the next SP Emblem event soon after that.

The last Mass Outbreak event ran from December 26 until January 1, and it debuted roughly one month after the previous event of this kind. If this proves to be a trend, we should see another Mass Outbreak very soon.
