The Hasbro Star Wars team kicked off 2025 with a yawn this morning with their Fanstream revealing two Black Series figures from Ahsoka, Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex.
Anakin is in his World Between Worlds appearance from Ahsoka, dodgy wig and all, and comes with a Lightsaber. I feel like the press photos really sell to me that they need to start doing some alt hands for Jedi. Force push poses with grip hands look extra lame. That said, this is probably the best Hayden likeness I’ve seen from Hasbro in Black Series and I’ll be glad to retire that Tom Holland looking one from the Clone Wars line.
This Rex does take me back to the old Clone Wars comic, toy, and Genndy Tartakofsky days before the 3D series came out, so that’s kind of cool, but in general I think I’m just a little cloned out. I’m not sure I’ll grab this.
Both figures will be up for pre-order 1/23/25 at 1PM ET, retail for $24.99, and will release in the spring.
