Compete against other Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet players and earn rewards, including Championship Points.

It’s time to show off your battle skills and earn rewards in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet against other Trainers from Championship Point–earning regions! The 2025 Grand Challenge II Online Competition has begun and will continue until Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

This competition is comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon that appear in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet games, including those that appear in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Certain Pokémon—including Legendary Pokémon and Paradox Pokémon—may not be used in the current Regulation Set H ruleset. Visit the official Events site for the full list of eligible Pokémon, regulations, eligibility requirements, and other details.

After the event ends and results are announced, qualifying players who finish three or more matches with a win or loss during the event period will be eligible for rewards, which include the following:

  • 100,000 League Points
  • One Gold Bottle Cap
  • One Ability Patch

To view your rankings, follow these steps:

  1. After the competition has ended, launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
  2. Open the X menu.
  3. Select Poké Portal.
  4. Select Battle Stadium.
  5. Select Online Competitions.
  6. Select Previous results.

Keep in mind that in order to earn Championship Points, you need to have already linked your Nintendo Account to your Pokémon Trainer Club account before you registered for this Online Competition, and you’ll need to keep them linked until after rewards have been awarded. If you unlink your accounts in the future, you’ll retain any Championship Points you’ve earned. (If you simply wish to register for and compete in competitions without being eligible for Championship Points, you don’t need to link your accounts.)

Good luck battling in the 2025 Grand Challenge II Online Competition, Trainers!
