New Pokémon HOME update adds the Pokémon Guidebook feature and a way to get Shiny Meloetta for completing your Paldea Pokédex, Kitakami Pokédex and Blueberry Pokédex from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Pokémon HOME is a special app that enables Trainers to continue their Pokémon adventures beyond a single game system and manage their collection of Pokémon across many of their games. Pokémon HOME is available now on Nintendo Switch, iPhone and iPad (App Store), and Android (Google Play) devices.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Oct. 18, 2024 — Today, The Pokémon Company International announced the latest updates to the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME, including the new Pokémon Guidebook and the opportunity to earn a Shiny Meloetta.

  • New Pokémon Guidebook Feature – Beginning with the update to version 3.2.2., Trainers will be able to access Pokémon Guidebook, where they can view basic information about Pokémon such as their Pokédex entries, types, sizes, forms, and more.

This information is available even if that Pokémon hasn’t been registered in your National Pokédex in Pokémon HOME. You can also discover in which games that Pokémon can be encountered, which will help you complete your Pokédex.

  • Shiny Meloetta Arrives in Pokémon HOME – Special Pokémon can now be rewarded to players as Mystery Gifts for completing specific Pokédex. The first games to use this feature are Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet (sold separately).  Trainers who complete their Paldea Pokédex, Kitakami Pokédex, and Blueberry Pokédex in those games will receive a Shiny Meloetta in the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME.

To receive this Pokémon, Trainers must complete each Pokédex, then confirm your completion in the Games tab of Pokémon HOME. If the player has already completed each Pokédex, they’re still eligible to receive the Shiny Meloetta. Be aware that to receive Mystery Gifts, the player must have a linked Nintendo Account, and each Mystery Gift can only be received once per Nintendo Account.
