This week’s preview from Games Workshop showcases new releases for Legions Imperialis and Warhammer 40,000. The highlights include the introduction of Mechanicum factions in the Rise of the Dark Mechanicum expansion and a new Combat Patrol set for the Blood Angels.
Rise of the Dark Mechanicum explores the early stages of the Schism of Mars during the Horus Heresy, introducing rules for both Loyalist and Traitor Mechanicum forces.
The expansion provides new army lists, linked missions, and an Escalation Campaign focused on the Doom of Magma City, along with options for armies composed entirely of Titans and Questoris Knights.
Several new sets accompany this release. The Mechanicum Battle Group offers 146 miniatures, designed for players building or expanding their armies in Legions Imperialis.
The Knight House Battle Group includes four Cerastus Knight Lancers, six Questoris Knights, and two Acastus Knight Porphyrions. Additionally, the Titan Battle Group features a Warlord Titan, a Reaver Titan, and two Warhound Scout Titans, with rules for all available in the new expansion.
For easier access to unit details, the Mechanicum Army Cards set provides 32 quick-reference cards. Players can also add new terrain options to their games with the Manufactorum Imperialis Sector, which includes several pieces to enhance battlefield environments.
On the Warhammer 40,000 side, the Blood Angels Combat Patrol introduces a new Blood Angels Captain, six Sanguinary Guard, 10 Assault Intercessors, and additional upgrade options.
Further reveals are expected soon, as Rise of the Dark Mechanicum approaches release.
