The latest project from Teburu Teburu, “The Bad Karmas and The Curse of Cthulhu,” has launched its crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound, quickly surpassing its funding goal.
“The Bad Karmas and The Curse of Cthulhu” is the first standalone expansion for “The Bad Karmas and The Curse of The Zodiac.” In this new chapter, players find themselves transported to the 1920s, where they must face cosmic horrors, obscure cults, and powerful beings awakening from ancient slumber.
The Bad Karmas, familiar heroes from the previous game, must once again rise to protect humanity—this time against Cthulhu and other Great Old Ones.
The creators describe the gameplay as dynamic and cooperative, with players facing off against giant AI-driven monsters in a boss-battler format designed for 1-5 players.
The Curse of Cthulhu expansion introduces new hero archetypes and six new bosses drawn from the Cthulhu Mythos, adding new levels of difficulty to the battles.
The Great Old Ones are not just enormous foes; their power is such that they can drive characters to madness simply by looking at them, adding a psychological twist to the combat.
Teburu Teburu is also offering a full reprint of the original “The Bad Karmas and The Curse of The Zodiac” alongside the new expansion, allowing new players to jump into the complete experience.
The campaign has already received considerable support, with its rapid funding success highlighting the significant interest and enthusiasm among supporters.
The campaign reached its goal of $54,690 in just 23 minutes and 28 seconds, ultimately securing 439% funding with a total of $240,148 from 812 backers.
The campaign will be running for the next 24 days, giving more supporters a chance to get involved.
