Amazon Prime Day is back once again. Where once it was an annual event, now the multi-day sales event usually happens at least twice a year. Fans of board games, TTRPGs, Lego, and anything else in that sphere will know that the best time to stock up is during sales, and the Prime Big Deals Days (as this latest event is called) are likely to have a bunch of bargains.
The best board games, DnD books, Lego sets for adults, and MTG sets have all made appearances in previous Prime Days, and we’re confident that we’ll see many of them again this year. Whether you’re getting something as a nice treat for yourself as the weather gets colder, or are planning ahead for Christmas, it’s worth looking around.
While you need a Prime account to access the Prime Day deals, right now there are quite a few bargains that are available to everyone. If you can’t wait for the sale to begin, here are the best deals we’ve found that are already available to everyone.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day (a.k.a. Prime Big Deals Days) are sale events run by Amazon that are exclusive to Prime subscribers. The first of these took place in 2015, and while they were originally annual events, they now take place multiple times a year. These typically last for two days and see a selection of exclusive deals go live for all types of product.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
The next Prime Day, called Prime Big Deals Days, takes place from Tuesday, October 9, 2024, through to Wednesday, October 10, 2024. This will be the second of these events to take place this year.
How does Prime Day work?
If you’re an Amazon Prime member and you’re signed in, the site will start showing you deals. Deals tend to have some kind of Amazon Prime Day label that lets you know the products are discounted as part of the event. The prices will be visible to everyone, but only available to those who subscribe. Of course, there is nothing to stop you subscribing via the free month of Prime that Amazon give out, then cancelling before the first payment, but after you bought a bunch of bargains.
How to get the best Amazon Prime Day deals
Here are a few tips for getting the best Amazon Prime Day deals:
Show up early
Amazon Prime Day doesn’t just last for two days, with plenty of products discounted early. You’ll want to start looking for discounts in the week leading up to Prime Day, as well as on the two official days.
Check back regularly
Amazon Prime Day deals aren’t static. Some discounts last the full two days, while others only last for a certain amount of time. And, naturally, the deal will be over if stock runs out. Be sure to keep an eye on your most prized products.
Know what you want to buy
If you have a particular tabletop game in mind, the fastest way to figure out if it’s on sale is to search for it directly. If it’s still full price, then be sure to come back! It may become part of the Prime Day Deals a bit later.
