It’s time for one more round of special Tera Raid Battles and mass outbreaks! Until Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, Normal–Tera Type Dragonite with the Mightiest Mark will be appearing in 7-star Tera Raid Battles while Larvitar, Bagon, Beldum, Goomy, and Hisuian Sliggoo will be appearing in mass outbreaks across various locations.
During this event, Dragonite with the Mightiest Mark will be appearing at black Tera Raid crystals. The Dragonite appearing during this event has Normal as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!
This special Dragonite can be caught only once per save data. If you caught this Dragonite previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch it again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Dragonite to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.
This Dragonite may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

7-star Tera Raid Battles: Dragonite with the Mightiest Mark
During this event, mass outbreaks of Larvitar and Bagon will be appearing throughout the Paldea region, mass outbreaks of Goomy and Hisuian Sliggoo will be appearing throughout the land of Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Beldum will be appearing throughout the Terarium at Blueberry Academy.
Hisuian Sliggoo cannot normally be encountered during regular gameplay, and Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks. Pokémon appearing in these special mass outbreaks are also more likely to have the Charismatic Mark, so don’t miss your chance to find one!

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• After completing certain postgame events, you’ll be able to find black Tera Raid crystals. However, players who haven’t completed these events may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Terms apply. Learn more at https://www.nintendo.com/switch-online.
• Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.
Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.

Defeat this powerhouse Dragon‑type Pokémon to obtain a powerful new partner and earn amazing rewards.
The extraordinary Dragonite is swooping into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Tera Raid Battles to close out the summer raid festivities. The Dragonite appearing during this event has Normal as its Tera Type, but that doesn’t make it any less special—it’s a formidable foe and has the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon. The Dragon Pokémon will be appearing at black Tera Raid crystals from Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.
Whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon. To find the Tera Pokémon featured in this event, you’ll also need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. To do so, follow these steps:
- Select Poké Portal in the X menu.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Select Check Poké Portal News.
To challenge Normal–Tera Type Dragonite with the Mightiest Mark, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events. This special Dragonite can be caught only once per save data.
You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Dragonite if you’ve already caught it to obtain other rewards—including Herba Mystica for flavorful sandwiches, significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Normal Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.
