Cousins Mariko and Jillian Tamaki took a hat trick at the Eisners: Their graphic novel Roaming was named Best Graphic Album—New, Mariko won the Best Writer award, and Jillian got the nod for Best Penciller/Inker. Publisher Drawn & Quarterly picked up a fourth Eisner for Fujiwara Maki’s My Picture Diary.
The only other multiple winner was Daniel Warren Johnson, who took the honors for Best Continuing Series and Best Writer/Artist for Transformers. Rachel Smythe’s Lore Olympus, a best-seller in print, won the Best Webcomic award for the third year in a row.
The awards were presented in a live ceremony on Friday, July 26, during Comic-Con International in San Diego. Here is the full list of winners.
