Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:
Test your metal with research, raids, and event bonuses.
Pokémon GO Trainers are on a roll with the Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event taking place from July 25, at 10:00 a.m. to July 30, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Pokémon GO will be rolling out the red carpet for Shiny Togedemaru, which makes its Pokémon GO debut! Steel yourself for exciting event bonuses, which include the following.
- Additional Candy XL for catching Pokémon for Trainers level 31 and above.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and above to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, or Excellent Throws.
- Increased Candy for Nice, Great, or Excellent Throws.
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Put those bonuses to good use to catch Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild, including Alolan Sandshrew, Magnemite, Onix, Scyther, Pineco, Skarmory, Nosepass, Aron, Beldum, Bronzor, Ferroseed, Klink, Galarian Stunfisk, and Togedemaru.
Put the pedal to the metal to participate in as many raids as possible to catch the following Pokémon.

- Three-Star Raids

If you’ve got a mind like a steel trap, leverage it to complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with Beldum, Klink, and Togedemaru and earn Mega Energy for Steelix, Scizor, and Aggron. Take on Timed Research to earn a Magnetic Lure Module, XP, and encounters with event Pokémon. Complete the Collection Challenge to earn Stardust, encounters with event Pokémon, and Mega Energy for certain Steel-type Pokémon.
