San Diego Comic-Con 2024 News: ‘Ghost Machine’s’ Junkyard Joe Gets an Action Figure

Ghost Machine and Mezco Toyz announced that they will place a Junkyard Joe action figure onto preorder on August 28, 2024.

Ghost Machine, a creator collectively-owned company (see “New Creator-Owned and Operated Company”), is delving into the action figure collectible market with this first release.  The new figure features Junkyard Joe, a character that made his first full appearance in Geoff John’s Geiger #6 and then spun off into his own series (see “Junkyard Joe“).  Writer and co-creator Geoff Johns commented on the release:

“If I could go back in time and tell 10-year-old me that something I helped bring to life would become this amazing action figure, I would have been blown away,” said Johns.  “I can’t wait for everyone to see the incredible work Mez and his team at Mezco did with this figure.”

The figure is molded from plastic, hand-painted, and comes packaged with a helmet, jungle fatigues, combat boots, and removable chest harness, belt and gun holster.  It stands 6.7″ tall has over 28 points of articulation.  This figure can be preordered via the Mezco website.
