Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:
Take advantage of Egg hatching bonuses, increased chances to encounter Shiny Slugma and Shiny Litleo, and more.
Turn up the heat and enjoy egg-cellent bonuses during Pokémon GO’s Scorching Steps event from Friday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time! During the event, you’ll earn 2× Candy from hatching Eggs, have 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event, and 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget! If you’re scrambling for Shiny Pokémon, you’re in luck! Trainers will have an increased chance of encountering and hatching Shiny Slugma and Shiny Litleo during the event. These two fiery Pokémon will also be available to encounter when you complete event-exclusive Field Research tasks, so don’t forget to spin those PokéStops! On rare occasions, you may even encounter Turtonator from these event-exclusive Field Research tasks.
For fans of the Larva That Stole the Sun, Larvesta will be available to hatch from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs obtained during the event, if you’re very lucky. And for the first time in Pokémon GO, especially fortunate Trainers might hatch the gorgeous and gilded Shiny Larvesta.
