Katrina Minett will be a guest at Otakon 2024. She is a producer at Qubic Pictures.
Originally from the UK, Minett made the bold move to Tokyo in 2015, immersing herself in Japan’s vibrant animation scene. With roots spanning to Sri Lanka and Britain, Katrina’s multiracial background enriches her creative perspective and lends a distinctive voice to her work.
She honed her craft at OLM, one of Japan’s premier animation studios, renowned for global hits like “Pokémon” and “Yokai Watch.” There, she served as production staff on acclaimed shows such as “Bee and Puppycat” and “Odd Taxi,” gaining invaluable experience across various production levels.
Transitioning to Qubic Pictures, Minett took on the role of production coordinator for “Star Wars: Visions,” where she masterfully oversaw the production of shorts and collaborated with multiple studios. Now, as the lead producer on Qubic Picture’s upcoming anime for Netflix, “Leviathan,” Minett continues to spearhead innovative projects that push the boundaries of storytelling in the anime world.
Otakon 2024 will be held from August 2 to August 4 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
