Lucy Knisley, whose graphic novels for adults and children include Relish: My Life in the Kitchen, Something New: Tales from a Makeshift Bride, and Apple Crush, has a new graphic novel coming out, and this time, it’s about her cat.
Woe: A Housecat’s Story of Despair collects Knisley’s short comics, many originally posted online, about her cat, Linney, an orange cat with a big personality. Random House Graphic will publish the 208-page, square-format (6.5” x 6.5”) hardcover, rated for readers 12 and up, on July 2, 2024, with an MSRP of $16.99.
Knisley’s Kid Gloves: Nine Months of Careful Chaos was nominated for a 2020 Eisner Award, and her Displacement: A Travelogue was nominated for the 2016 awards. Stepping Stones, her first middle-grade book, was one of the launch titles for the RH Graphic imprint (see “Random House Graphic Unveils New Line”).
