This summer, fans of the classic film “Labyrinth” will have the opportunity to engage with its universe in a new way through “Labyrinth: The Board Game Collection,” launching on Gamefound. The campaign is led by Mantic Games in partnership with River Horse, aligning with the approach to the 40th anniversary of the original movie’s release.
Known for adapting well-loved franchises into tabletop games, Mantic Games has previously brought to market games based on Halo, Hellboy, and The Umbrella Academy. “Labyrinth: The Board Game” is set to expand with new content and gameplay designed to appeal to both new players and those familiar with the original film.
Alessio Cavatore, CEO of River Horse, commented on the expansion: “River Horse has been converting classic movies into tabletop games since 2010. This collaboration with Mantic Games enables us to enhance ‘Labyrinth: The Board Game’ with fresh content and a new set of challenges that will engage players.”
The announcement from Mantic Games also comes from Ronnie Renton, CEO, who mentioned the company’s enthusiasm for the project and its community focus. “Our partnership with River Horse aims to reach a wider audience and to bring together both long-time fans and newcomers around this game,” he said.
As part of the collection, players can expect new miniatures and game mechanics that promise a unique tabletop experience. Those interested in the game can sign up for notifications about the campaign’s start on Gamefound.
