Get ready to spring into the season! From Friday, March 29, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, mass outbreaks of Pichu and Happiny will be appearing throughout the Paldea region, mass outbreaks of Munchlax and Riolu will be appearing throughout the land of Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Elekid and Magby will be appearing throughout the Terarium at Blueberry Academy.
Pokémon encountered in these special mass outbreaks are more likely to have the Vigor Mark. Have fun catching basketfuls of these lively little Pokémon!

Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.

• In order to participate in limited-time mass outbreak events, you need to have downloaded the latest update data and the latest Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• You can download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News.
Large groups of Pichu, Happiny, Munchlax, Riolu, Elekid, and Magby will be appearing during this springtime event.
Spring has arrived—and with it, mass outbreaks of some of the most adorable Pokémon around are coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. From Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, you’ll find basketfuls of little Pokémon throughout the Paldea region, the land of Kitakami, and the Terarium at Blueberry Academy. The Pokémon encountered in these special mass outbreaks are also more likely to have the Vigor Mark. Look for the following Pokémon in these locations:
- Paldea – Pichu and Happiny
- Kitakami – Munchlax and Riolu
- Blueberry Academy – Elekid and Magby
