Thames & Kosmos previewed Dodo, a 3D board game by Frank Bebenroth and Marco Teubner, which will hit U.S. retail in 2024.
In this family cooperative game, players race against gravity to save dodo eggs before they roll off of the cliff into the sea. They will need to work together to roll dice, collect materials, and build up bridges to divert the egg from impending doom. The oblong egg moves down the slopes at an unpredictable rate, so players will have to guess at the amount of time they have to save it. This game enhances memory skills and dexterity as well as provides a fun time for kids as they race to save the dodo.
Dodo is for two to four players, ages 6 and up, and plays in 10 minutes. It will retail for $34.95.
Thames & Kosmos will also release The Gang, a new cooperative poker card game (see “Round Up ‘The Gang’“).
