Games Workshop has revealed an array of upcoming releases in its latest Sunday Preview, with a focus on the Kroot, an integral part of the T’au Empire’s auxiliary forces, alongside new offerings for Warhammer Underworlds, Necromunda, and the debut of a new animation titled Broken Lance.
Introduction of Kroot Hunting Pack
The spotlight of the preview is the introduction of the Kroot Hunting Pack for Warhammer 40,000. This set includes 20 plastic Kroot Carnivores, a Krootox Rider, and is led by a Kroot War Shaper. The pack is further strengthened by a Flesh Shaper and three Kroot Rampagers. The inclusion of Codex: T’au Empire, featuring rules for the miniatures in the box and the wider T’au Empire forces, alongside a pack of 44 cards with diverse gameplays, makes this release notable.
Expansions for Warhammer Underworlds and Necromunda
For Warhammer Underworlds, the preview introduces Zondara’s Gravebreakers, a new warband embarking on a quest in the Deathgorge. Accompanying them are the Rimelocked Relics, offering new upgrades and game mechanics.
In Necromunda, the Delaque gang receives new miniatures and tactical cards. The release includes the Delaque Rogue Doc & Gang Lookout pack and Ash Wastes Upgrades, designed for survival in Necromunda’s harsh environments. New Vehicle Tactics Cards and a reprint of the Gang Tactics pack introduce additional strategic options.
Animation and Additional Content
The upcoming Warhammer+ animation, Broken Lance, features a Knight household engaging in battle. The Kroot also appear in a Battle Report set in the jungles of Hadrak’s Folly, and there’s a segment delving into the Dark Cells, a high-security prison within the Imperium, presented by the Loremasters.
