Relatable Acquires ‘Hunt A Killer’

Relatable has acquired Hunt A Killer, a popular murder mystery franchise.

Relatable, the makers of the best-selling What Do You Meme? party game, has expanded their portfolio into the multi-million dollar (and growing) murder mystery segment of the U.S. games market with this acquisition. Hunt A Killer games, which entered the market in 2016 (see “Hunt A Killer“), provide some level of adjacent sales synergy to Relatable’s game lines because party and the murder mystery games are often found together in the same shelf space at mass.

“Hunt A Killer has built a large community of fans, becoming the market leader in the red hot murder mystery category,” said Ben Kaplan, co-founder of Relatable. “We see clear synergies and growth opportunities to continue serving Hunt A Killer’s devoted fans and to take this brand to new heights.”

No word on how this acquisition will effect Hunt A Killer’s presence in the hobby retail channel as of the publication of this article.
