Hachette Reveals Two New Card Games

Hachette Boardgames revealed two new card games, which will release into retail in 2024.

Line-it is a strategic card game by Gigamic. In this game, players construct lines of cards, in either ascending or descending numbered order, in an attempt to score the most posts. It features drafting mechanics as well as dynamic gameplay that has players determining when and when not to close off their lines of cards for the biggest payoff possible. It is for one to two players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20 minutes.

Pass Pass, by Funnyfox, is a trick taking card game where players will have to create brief alliances with one another in order to advance their strategies. The goal of the game is to collect the most cards as well as cards with diamonds on them to score points. The player with the most points after three rounds of play wins, unless a player scores three “pass passes” (collecting a set of one card in each color) before that happens. This game is for three to six players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20-30 minutes.

Each of these games will retail for $14.99.

Hachette Boardgames also announced that they have added Super Meeple as a new studio partner (see “Hachette Adds Super Meeple“).
