Pokémon GO Catch Mastery: Ice event now underway in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, Field Research tasks focused on your Poké Ball–throwing accuracy now available

Get ready for a seriously snowy Catch Mastery event featuring Ice-type Pokémon, like Snorunt and Bergmite!

Catch Mastery: Ice

Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time

Wild encounters

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.

Event Bonuses

You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Snorunt, Shiny Cryogonal, and Shiny Bergmite.
2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.

Field Research task encounters

Tasks focused on your Poké Ball–throwing accuracy will be available!

The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks.

Timed Research

Timed Research focused on catching Ice-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event!

Complete 10 sets of research tasks to encounter 40 Cryogonal in total!*

*You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Cryogonal.

Paid Timed Research

Trainers will be able to purchase additional Timed Research for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) that is identical to the free Timed Research and will award 40 additional Cryogonal encounters.
