All that glitters at 5-star Tera Raid crystals is not gold—but it could be a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul.
Hunt for sparkling treasures with the Coin Chest Pokémon! From Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. PDT to Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, Chest Form Gimmighoul will be appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Tera Raid Battles. These Pokémon will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely. If you challenge one in a 5-star Tera Raid Battle, you’ll have a small chance to encounter a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul, which can’t normally be encountered in Paldea!
For the opportunity to encounter Chest Form Gimmighoul in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.

The Chest Form Gimmighoul appearing in this event will have various Tera Types, and you’ll be able to find them in 1- to 5-star Tera Raid Battles. If you challenge one in a 5-star Tera Raid Battle, you’ll have a small chance to encounter a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul, which doesn’t appear during regular gameplay!

1- to 5-star Tera Raid Battles: Gimmighoul (Chest Form)
In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.
