Rescheduled Tera Raid Battle events featuring Chesnaught with the Mightiest Mark, Great Tusk and Iron Treads in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet end today, June 18, at 4:59 p.m. PDT

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more about one of the latest in-game events:

Catch these version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon and challenge a Rock–Tera Type Chesnaught with the Mightiest Mark.

Prepare yourself for a wild weekend of Tera Raid Battles as Great Tusk and Iron Treads trample and roll their way through Paldea. Meanwhile, Chesnaught with the Mightiest Mark will be standing guard at black Tera Raid crystals, challenging Trainers to break through its rock-solid defenses! Don’t miss your opportunity to add powerful allies to your team, help complete your Pokédex, and earn valuable rewards.

From June 15, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to June 18, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, Great Tusk will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Scarlet game and Iron Treads will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Violet game. These Paradox Pokémon will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them—and try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Pokédex!

If you missed out on catching Chesnaught during its first appearance, you’ll get a second chance to challenge the Spiny Armor Pokémon from June 15, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to June 18, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Chesnaught cannot normally be encountered in Paldea, and the Chesnaught appearing during this event has Rock as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it!

To challenge Chesnaught, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events. This special Chesnaught can be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Chesnaught if you’ve already caught it to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Rock Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.

For the opportunity to encounter Chesnaught, Great Tusk, and Iron Treads in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal in the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Get Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.
