Funko Games is heading to the final frontier for its next escape room-style puzzle game, Star Trek Cryptic, set to release in June.
In Star Trek Cryptic, the players must attempt to outwit a series of challenges using their deduction and problem-solving skills. They are guided by their “PADD” and the 70-page logbook as they encounter subspace transmission, alien civilizations, and planetary disasters. The game includes a total of three “missions,” each with its own set of unique components and offering a total of 15 Star Trek challenges.
The game includes 15 pathway cards, a pathway screen, a dry-erase marker, a tricorder with 3 filters, 2 puzzle cards, 27 tiles, 9 slides, 5 artifacts, 3 star charts, a logbook, and mission-specific components. It was designed by Prosper Hall (Disney Villainous, Horrified) for 1 or more players, ages 10 and up. Each mission takes a little over an hour to play. MSRP is $34.99.
Funko’s first Cryptic game will be based on the Indiana Jones film series (see “Funko Teams Up with Indiana Jones”).
