The Legendary Electric-type Pokémon Regieleki is making its Pokémon GO debut in Elite Raids on April 9, 2023

Niantic is continuing to announce new events and content for Pokémon GO on a regular basis. Read on below to learn more:

The Electron Pokémon charges into Pokémon GO at three different times for just one day.

The Legendary Electric-type Pokémon Regieleki is making its Pokémon GO debut in Elite Raids on April 9, 2023. An Elite Raid is a new, challenging type of raid in Pokémon GO that first appeared on October 16, 2022, with Hoopa Unbound, and most recently featured Regidrago on March 11, 2023. Trainers cannot use Remote Raid Passes to participate in Elite Raids, so it’s important to gather as many friends as possible and use effective Pokémon and attacks against Regieleki.

Regieleki will hatch at the following times.

  • Sunday, April 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, April 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 9, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

Because Elite Raids are more difficult than most five-star raids, it’s more important than ever to put your best foot forward with the right team composition. As an Electric-type Pokémon, Regieleki is vulnerable to Ground-type attacks. Pokémon that make excellent counters against this Legendary Pokémon include Swampert, Primal Groudon, Garchomp, Mamoswine, and Excadrill—just be sure that each Pokémon has a Ground-type Fast Attack and Charged Attack to deal damage as quickly as possible.

Have an electrifying time, Trainers!

What are Elite Raids?

Elite Raids are a challenging variety of Raid Battle. They appear from special Raid Eggs that take 24 hours to hatch. Once the Raid Egg hatches, a Raid Boss will appear for 30 minutes—but take note that Elite Raid Bosses can only be battled in-person. Gather your friends and prepare for an epic confrontation!

Defeat Regieleki in an Elite Raid, and you’ll earn an opportunity to catch it.

Remember, Trainers will not be able to participate in Elite Raids using Remote Raid Passes.
