Get ready to earn Championship Points and test your skills against Trainers from around the world in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games! The 2023 Global Challenge I will take place from Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, April 9, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Sign-ups have already begun and will remain open until the start of the competition period.
This competition will follow Regulation Set C and is comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon from the Paldea Pokédex (excluding Koraidon and Miraidon).
To register for the competition, follow these steps:
- Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select Poké Portal.
- Select Battle Stadium.
- Select Online Competitions.
- Under Official Competitions, select Search for a competition.
After the event ends and results are announced, qualifying players who finish three or more matches with a win or loss during the event period will be eligible for rewards. To view your rankings, follow these steps:
- After the competition has ended, launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select Poké Portal.
- Select Battle Stadium.
- Select Online Competitions.
- Select Previous results.

Competition: Friday, April 7, 2023, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, April 9, 2023, at 23:59 UTC
Battle Teams must be registered during sign-up. No entries will be accepted once the competition period has begun.
To register for the competition, follow these steps:
1. Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Poké Portal.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Under Official Competitions, select Search for a competition.
Junior Division: Born in or after 2011
Senior Division: Born between 2007 and 2010
Masters Division: Born in or before 2006
You must finish three or more matches with a win or a loss during the competition period to be eligible for rewards.

*Qualifying players who have a Nintendo Account linked to the mobile version of Pokémon HOME can receive a code that can be redeemed via Mystery Gift for an in-game Poké Ball Canvas Backpack accessory. In order to receive the code, players must first link the Nintendo Account used to sign up for the event with Pokémon HOME.
If a player is unable to receive the participation prize due to ineligibility, we are unable to provide individual support. Only one participation prize may be redeemed per Nintendo Account.
This competition will follow Regulation Set C and is comprised of Double Battles using Pokémon from the Paldea Pokédex. Certain Pokémon may not be used.
Only one user per game version (Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet) may participate per each Nintendo Switch™ system. If your Nintendo Account is registered to users on multiple Nintendo Switch systems, you may participate with only one user and system per game version. Championship Points will be awarded to the top finishers only once per Nintendo Account.

Battle data and results will be provided to Nintendo Co., Ltd., and The Pokémon Company (and its subsidiaries).
Players engaging in or exhibiting the following may receive penalties and be restricted from participating in future online events.
• Use of unauthorized methods to alter game save data, use of Pokémon that have data altered via altering code, or Pokémon created through the use of altering code
• Significantly large number of disconnects during battle, from when your opponent has been decided to when the match results have been fully sent to the server (please ensure a stable connection environment when connecting to the internet)
• Troubling behavior that could affect other participants or make others feel unpleasant
• Actions that would obstruct battles and operations, such as hacking
• Registering with incorrect information or impersonating another player
• Other actions that operation hosts determine to be inappropriate
