The world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin continues to grow with IDW Publishing’s announcement of two new titles, both tied to the upcoming prequel series TMNT: The Last Ronin – Lost Years (see “Eastman and Waltz Spin More Stories”).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin – Lost Day Special, by TMNT creator Kevin Eastman and writer Tom Waltz, with art by Ben Bishop and colors by Luis Antonio Delgado, will be a one-shot that will tie in to both the past and the future of the world of the Last Ronin, laying the groundwork for more stories. The story involves April O’Neil and the four young turtles paying a visit to the city and getting drawn into a dangerous battle. The 40-page one-shot will be published in May.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin—Lost Years #1 Director’s Cut will be an expanded version of the first issue of the series with additional material about the development and evolution of the concept, from first draft to full-blown universe. TMNT: The Last Ronin – Lost Years #1 will be released on January 25, and the Director’s Cut will be published in April.
