The magic and wonder of Pokémon are in full force in Pokémon GO’s Twinkling Fantasy event. From January 10, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. to January 16, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. local time, embrace the fantastical by catching Dragon- and Fairy-type Pokémon, completing a Collection Challenge, and making the most of bonuses by tossing Poké Balls like the hero you are. Harness some serious dragon power with Mega Salamence, a heavy hitter making its Pokémon GO debut, and electrify your collection with Shiny Dedenne—if you’re lucky! Kick-start your Mega Salamence energy hoard by completing the event Collection Challenge to receive 50 Salamence Mega Energy—you can also add a Charged TM and a Fast TM to your pile of treasures!
Sharpen your throwing skills to take advantage of the following event bonuses.
- 2× XP for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
- Extra Candy for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31+ to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws
