It’s a three-peat for Black Adam

Black Adam has gone three for three coming in first place at the weekend box office again. The film easily beat One Piece Film: Red which came in a distant second.

Black Adam grossed an estimated $18.5 million in its third week. The film has grossed $137.4 million domestically. Over the week, the movie grossed $43.3 million internationally to bring that to $182.3 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $319.7 million after three weeks.

One Piece Film: Red debuted in second place with $9.5 million. Internationally, the film has already grossed $132.2 million for a worldwide gross of $141.7 million.

In third place was Ticket to Paradise. The film added $8.5 to its domestic total to bring that to $46.7 million. Over the week, the film added about $4.8 million to its international total to bring that to $90.5 million. Worldwide, the film stands at $137.2 million.

Smile held steady at fourth place with $4 million. The film is currently at $99.1 million domestically, and Paramount has to be happy with its performance. Over the week it added $10.2 million internationally to bring that to $103.8 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $202.9 million.

Prey for the Devil rounded out the top five with $3.9 million. Domestically, the film has grossed $13.6 million after two weeks. Internationally, the film has grossed $4.5 million. Worldwide, it stands at $18.1 million, a misfire for Lionsgate.

In comic film news…

DC League of Super-Pets is now in its fourth week on HBO and grossed about $100,000 at the box office over the week. It now stands about $93.5 million. Internationally, the film stands at $110.2 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a little over $203.7 million.

Thor: Love and Thunder looks like it’s gained a little. The film has grossed $343.3 million domestically. Internationally gained a little with a new total of $417.5 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $760.8 million, a rounding up from last week’s total.

The week’s overall box office success…

Numbers have 25 films earning $57,666,878 from 32,356 theaters. That’s a drop from last weekend’s $67,729,562 from 34,700 theaters and 52 films. The average earning was $1,782.26 this past weekend, a decrease from last weekend’s $1,951.86.
