Fwoosh Toys has had the new spooky Skeleton figure pre-orders up since August and if you order by the end of 10/31/2022, you get a nifty Jack-O-Lantern bonus head. That, and the fact that it is Halloween make this a perfect time to take another look at the Fwoosh Toys Skeleton!
The skeleton comes with a sword, a knife, neutral hands, open hands, grip hands, and six heads (seven if you get the bonus). The weapons fit in the grip hands securely and the heads and hands pop off easily, but stay on well during play.
The skulls have a heightened anatomy, giving them a more supernatural feel and the sculpting has a lot of character to it. Three skulls have closed jaws with a basic skull, a more squity-eyed skull, and a skull with an exposed brain.
Three of them have hinged jaws, one more of a standard skull, one Oni demon skull with horns and fangs, and one with eyepieces and a symbol on the forehead.
The skull with the symbol can hold a scroll in their mouth that plugs into a hole in the roof of their mouth.
The bonus Jack-O-Lantern head is a lot of fun and adds a whole new dimension to the figure.
The skeletons scale perfectly with the Fwoosh Ninjas and Samurai, but I think they also work really well with Legends, Classified and Black Series.
The articulation is based on ball shaped hinges that swivel on both ends. The articulation includes:
- Swivel/hinge lower neck, shoulders, elbows, mid-torso, waist, hips, knees, and ankles
- Ball and socket head.
The paint has a great dry brush and wash that lends it a grimy, fresh from the grave feel.
The figure is a ton of fun to pose and play with and it’s one of those figures where I never ran out of ideas of what to do with it, I just ran out of time because I wanted to get this up before Halloween.
