The hammer dropped on Heritage Auctions’ Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction last weekend, and the first appearance of Wonder Woman brought seven figures. All Star Comics #8 in CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages finished at $1.62 million, reflecting its rare status in that condition.
The top price in the auction, which had a total take over $24 million, was the $2.4 million paid for the Frank Miller and Lynn Varley cover to The Dark Knight Returns #1 (see “Heritage Auctions ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ Cover Art”).
