Pokémon GO Limited Research makeup event featuring Exeggcute, Shiny Exeggcute and Alolan Exeggcute now underway for the nine time zones between GMT +14 and GMT +5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time

Niantic has announced a new event for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

**UPDATE**

Trainers,

We sincerely apologize for the issues that occurred in our earliest nine time zones (GMT +14–GMT +5) during our An Egg-citing Spring Surprise event. There was an error that affected Trainers’ chances of encountering Shiny Exeggcute. We apologize and appreciate your patience as we plan a makeup event.

As compensation, we will offer a Limited Research makeup event for those nine time zones (GMT +14–GMT +5) on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.

The makeup event will include the original bonuses stated on the blog, including the intended increased chance to encounter Shiny Exeggcute.

Additionally, during the makeup event, there will be a new Timed Research available that rewards a total of three encounters with Exeggcute.

Frolic through the flowers while you catch, hatch, and battle a beautiful bouquet of Pokémon.

Spring is in the air, and Pokémon GO is in bloom with a celebration of the changing seasons during the Spring into Spring event. Through Monday, April 18, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time, you’ll be able to catch Pokémon wearing flower headwear, enjoy egg-cellent event bonuses, and challenge Tapu Bulu as it makes its Pokémon GO debut in five-star raids. Get hatching, because throughout the event, you’ll be able to hatch Eggs at half their usual Hatch Distance and earn twice as much Candy for doing so. In other egg-centric news, Lucky Eggs will last for double their usual duration. You can also exercise your green thumb with a flowery Collection Challenge—gather all the Pokémon in it to make progress on your Elite Collector medal, earn 2,000 XP and 2,000 Stardust, and encounter Togetic wearing a flower crown!

Leap into Limited Research with An Egg-citing Spring Surprise on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. Spin PokéStops to get Field Research tasks that will reward you with Exeggcute encounters. Earn enough Exeggcute Candy to evolve the Egg Pokémon into an Alolan Exeggutor that knows the Charged Attack Draco Meteor. Throughout the day, you can also earn double Catch XP.
