The creative team behind hits like The Few and Thumbs—writer Sean Lewis, artist Hayden Sherman—unites with rock-star letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou for the upcoming Western/Fantasy genre mashup, Above Snakes. This five-issue miniseries is set to launch from Image Comics on July 13th.
In Above Snakes, readers are introduced to a story that’s equal parts Deadwood-style Western and Neil Gaiman-esque fantasy. It’s the story of Dirt, a man seeking vengeance for his murdered wife with nothing but a talking vulture to prod him on. Above Snakes is a fast and furious explosion of Western tropes and American vengeance that explores where our rage can take us.
Above Snakes #1 (Diamond Code MAY220027) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, July 13.
