Asmodee will release Chronicles of Avel, a cooperative board game by Rebel Studio, into retail on May 6, 2022.
Chronicles of Avel is a cooperative board game where players assume the roles of brave heroes and heroines out to save their magical land. Players will be able to create a character, name them, and arm them with equipment to get them ready for battle. From that starting point, they will then go off exploring the world of Avel on a modular board composed of hexagonal tiles. The players will face off against monsters, defend a castle, and try to banish the Beast, all in an attempt to save their land.
The game box comes with 19 board tiles, a moon track, an astrolabe marker, 3 wall markers, a starting player marker, 3 moon seal tokens, 3 trap tokens, 27 coin tokens, 4 character boards, 8 dice, 4 character pawns, a beast dial, 3 crater tokens, 5 monster dice, 25 equipment tokens, 31 monster tokens, 20 toughness markers, 10 damage markers, 4 action tokens, 12 used equipment tokens, an equipment bag, an almanac, a constellation map, and a player aid. This game is for one to four players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 60-90 minutes. It will retail for $40.
Asmodee will also release Canvas, a spatial puzzle game by Road to Infamy, into U.S. retail (see “‘Canvas’ Comes to U.S. Retail“).
