One of the newest characters in the world of Red Sonja is getting her own comic series: Dynamite will launch Red Sonja: Red Sitha, by writer Mirka Andolfo and artist Valentina Pinti, in May. Sitha first appeared last year in Andolfo’s Red Sonja #1 (see “Preview: ‘Red Sonja’ #1”), just after her village was destroyed and her family slain by bandits. Red Sonja took the girl in and trained her as a warrior. Ten years later, Sitha is a bounty hunter in Aquilonia when someone from her past appears and draws her into a dangerous mission.
The first issue of Red Sonja: Red Sitha will be published on May 4 and will feature covers by Andolfo, Pinti, Junggeun Yoon, and Paulina Ganucheau, as well as a cosplay cover featuring Gracie the Cosplay Lass.
