It was a mild weekend at the box office where Death on the Nile took the top spot. The film earned an estimated $12.8 million domestically. The film grossed a reported $20.7 million at the international box office. Worldwide, the film has grossed $33.5 million.
Jackass Forever which was at the top last weekend slipped to second with an estimated $8.1 million. That brought its domestic gross to $37.4 million. Internationally, the film earned about $4.8 million over the week to brings its total to $10 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $47.4 million after two weeks.
Marry Me got a dual release in theaters and on Peacock. The film earned $8 million domestically and $8.5 million at the international box office. Worldwide, the film has grossed $16.5 million.
Spider-Man: No Way Home slipped to fourth with an estimated $7.2 million. Domestically, the film has grossed $759 million. Over the week, the film added about $18 million to its international total to bring that to $1.045 billion. Worldwide, the movie has grossed $1.804 billion.
The film is still in fourth place with its domestic lifetime gross, about $1.5 million behind Avatar to move into third place. That should happen before its run is over and likely this week. The film sits in sixth place for worldwide lifetime gross and is unlikely to move into fifth as there’s a $244 million gap.
Rounding out the top five was another debut, Blacklight. The film grossed an estimated $3.6 million. There’s no international gross reported.
In comic films…
The King’s Man grossed an estimated $433,000 to bring its domestic total to $36.7 million. The film also added about $100,000 over the week at the international box office to bring that total to a little over $85 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $121.8 million.
Eternals looks like it has ended its run with a domestic total $164.9 million. It also looks like it’s mostly done at the international box where it stands at $237.2 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed just about $402.1 million.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage returned to theaters but that looks to be over. The film has grossed $213.6 million domestically. The international box office remained steady at $288.5 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed just under $502.1 million worldwide.
Initial numbers have 26 films earning $52,322,723 from 35,018 theaters. That’s a bit of a dip from last weekend’s 49 films which earned $59,694,753 from 32,551 theaters theaters. The average earning was $1,494.17 this past weekend, a decrease from the previous weekend’s $1,833.88.
